Why does nobody talk about rain ponchos for summer commutes
I read a post last week about a guy in Portland who said he ditched his full rain jacket for a $12 packable poncho and never looked back... I always thought ponchos were for tourists but he had a point about airflow. On my 6 mile ride through Tampa today it hit 92 degrees with humidity and I was soaked through my breathable jacket before I hit the third light. I'm thinking about trying one but worried it'll flap around when the wind picks up on the bridge... has anyone else made the switch for hot weather? What do you do about the bottom edge catching on your saddle?
