A random convo at the bus stop got me hooked on a fantasy series

This woman saw me reading and said the show was way better than the books. I gave it a shot and now I'm three seasons deep. Ever had a total stranger talk you into a new show?

Hold up, she said the show was BETTER than the books? That's wild. The books are almost always way deeper. The show must be seriously good to top the source material. Can't believe a bus stop chat got you that hooked. What series was it even?

I've noticed this debate popping up more, like with 'The Last of Us' show. Maybe it's just me, but some adaptations just make the story flow better. Books have more details, but shows can pull you in faster.
