I finally get why slow-burn shows are so addictive
I used to skip them for faster paced stuff. But after binging one last weekend, I see how the buildup makes the payoffs way better.

Not sure if it's worth all the hype. Feels like they just stretch the story too thin most of the time. Gets boring after a while.

Skip the filler episodes entirely, look up fan guides online that list the essential plot chapters. I started doing that after nearly quitting a show last year, and it cut the watch time in half. The padding is usually because they're trying to hit a episode count for the network, not because the story needs it. Try watching at 1.5x speed for the slow parts, it saves your patience. The real problem is they make money from ads per episode, so stretching it is the whole point.
