Realized I'd watched all 4 seasons of The Wire with subtitles off and missed half the dialogue
Sat down last week to rewatch season 2 and noticed I couldn't follow the dock workers at all without captions, then it hit me I'd done this for the entire first run back in 2021. I went back and tried episode 1 with subs on and caught like 6 things I never heard the first time, including a whole setup line about Stringer that changes everything. Do you all keep subtitles on for heavy accent shows or am I just losing my hearing at 34?
