Rewatching old sitcoms from 2005 hits different now
I dug out my old Scrubs DVDs last week since my streaming apps kept buffering in my apartment in Columbus. I remember laughing at the janitor bits back then, but now I notice how much the show leaned on early 2000s work culture that just doesn't exist anymore. Also, the episode count per season is wild, like 24 episodes, compared to the 8 or 10 we get now. Has anyone else gone back to a comfort show and seen it totally differently as an adult?
Kinda disagree on the work culture part... I worked retail in 2006 and that chaotic energy was real, just nobody had a name for it yet. Shows like Scrubs just had the guts to show it without a filter.
