TIL the guy at the video store in Omaha taught me how to pick a show to binge
Back in 2019 I was standing in a Blockbuster going out of business sale in Omaha and the clerk, a guy named Ray, watched me grab the first season of a show just because the cover looked cool. He told me to watch the first two episodes before buying the rest, because "a pilot sells you a show and episode two tells you the truth," and he was dead on about three series in a row. How do you all decide if a show is worth sticking with past the first couple episodes?
