Spotted a full-size 'Hey Arnold!' football head helmet at a vintage toy shop in Portland.

Saw a video once where someone actually made a wearable one, looked so goofy.

My buddy in the shop told me to always check the 5V rail first on a no-power board, saved me like 2 hours yesterday.

Solid tip. I always start there too because it's the most common failure point. Saves so much time.

My air fryer decided to smoke out my kitchen last Tuesday

That smoky air fryer moment feels like a modern kitchen rite of passage. My old toaster oven did the same thing with fallen breadcrumbs last month. It seems like every appliance now has a hidden grease trap or filter we're supposed to magically know about. The manual for my coffee maker had a full page on decalcifying that I found only after it started gurgling. A good scrub of the element with a soft brush once it's cold usually does the trick, but the real fix is cleaning it more often than you think you need to.

My attempt at my great-grandma's bread recipe was a sticky mess

Old recipes can be so tricky with those vague instructions. Martinez.anthony's story about the pie crust is a perfect example of why you can't always trust them word for word. What kind of recipe were you even trying to follow, was it one of those handwritten ones from a relative? Sometimes the problem isn't the cook, it's the recipe itself being from a totally different time.

I finally figured out why my key kept getting stuck in the same door

Used to think it was just being forgetful. That key blindness idea makes a lot more sense.
