Why does nobody talk about whether to binge a show week by week or all at once?

I just finished The Last of Us last week and I'm in a debate with my friend. She says spacing it out one episode a night makes it last longer and you appreciate it more. I binged all 9 episodes in two days and felt totally drained after. Which way actually gives you a better experience? Has anyone else tried both ways and noticed a difference?

Binge watching actually screws up your memory of the show more than people realize. Your brain needs time to process each episode and let it sink in, so spacing it out helps you remember details better long term.

42% of viewers admit they forget major plot points by the next season according to a study I saw last year on Reddit. Your brain actually works BETTER when you binge because you keep the whole story fresh in your head instead of forgetting little things between weeks. I watched every episode of Breaking Bad in 4 days and I can still remember details from season 1 perfectly two years later. The emotional punch hits way harder when you're fully immersed in the world without real life breaking in between episodes. Spacing it out just means you spend half the next episode trying to remember who THAT character was or what happened before.
