Found out window film works way better than I thought after counting strikes at my shop

I was looking up stuff to keep birds from hitting the big glass door at my garage, and stumbled on a study from the American Bird Conservancy. They tested different window treatments and found that certain patterned films cut strikes by over 90 percent. That surprised me because I figured nothing really worked that well, especially since I've tried those hawk decals before with zero luck. Has anyone here actually used the film and noticed a difference over a few months?

I tried those hawk decals too and they did absolutely nothing. But then I put up some of that film with the little dots on it and it's been about four months now. I noticed right away the birds stopped bouncing off the glass. My neighbor asked me why I put little white circles all over my window and I said it's for the birds and he looked at me like I was crazy.

@paul233 you said the film had little white dots on it - are those dots spaced out in a grid pattern or more random like splatter? Just curious because I've been considering the film but some of it looks like a weird checkerboard and I don't want my windows looking like a game board.
