Random thing my neighbor said about those bird stickers

My neighbor Linda was out watering her petunias and I mentioned the hawk that keeps hitting my big living room window. She said "you know birds don't see glass the same way we do" and it just clicked. I had those cheap decals up for 3 years but they were faded and too spread out. I moved them closer together 2 days ago and haven't heard a single thump since. Has anyone else had luck with just rearranging what they already have?

3 years is a long time to put up with something that could be fixed that easy. It's wild how often the simple obvious fix is hiding in plain sight because we just stop looking at our own stuff.

Man I totally get that. My buddy had a rattle in his truck for like 2 years. He's a mechanic too. Took it to three different shops, nobody could find it. One day he's cleaning out the glovebox and finds a loose socket that fell behind the dashboard. Pulled it out, rattle gone. Two years of driving himself crazy over a 10mm socket. The brain just stops seeing stuff after a while. We look at the same things every day and they become invisible.
