Rant: My 'artistic' window film was a total failure
I put up that fancy dotted pattern film last spring, but a cardinal still hit the glass hard enough to leave a mark. Has anyone tried the vertical tape strips instead?

Yeah, my friend had the exact same thing happen with those dots, it was a whole mess. She saw a robin just bounce right off her patio door last month, and @bettykim is totally right, those things seem more about looks than actually helping. She ended up putting up the vertical strips about two feet apart, the kind you can get at the hardware store, and it's made a real difference so far. It's not the prettiest fix, but at least the birds seem to see it now.
