Three strikes in one morning made me finally tape up my dining room windows
Last Tuesday I was drinking coffee around 7am and heard that awful thud three times in 20 minutes. The first one I thought was a branch, but then I saw a junco just sitting on the deck looking dazed. I've lived here for 4 years and never had more than one a month. My dining room faces east so the sunrise reflection turns the whole pane into a mirror. I cut some strips of masking tape in a diamond pattern, about 6 inches apart, and put them up that afternoon. It looks a little goofy but I haven't had a single hit in 5 days now. Has anyone else noticed a specific time of day or weather condition that makes strikes way worse?
