Hot take: the BeltLine got worse after the paving finished in 2023

My neighbor down on 3rd street told me the same thing. I swear I saw a scooter rental guy messing with the volume on one of those speakers last week. Makes total sense now why they're always cranked up so loud even late at night.

Spent $150 on a fancy composting tumbler and now I'm back to a pile

Wait, is having to spin a tumbler every day really that big of a deal? It takes like 30 seconds. I've had one for a year and a half and it works fine as long as you keep the balance right with browns and greens. People act like they're trying to run a full-time compost operation instead of just tossing some kitchen scraps in a bin. Half the time when someone complains about a tumbler, they're probably just throwing in too much wet food without enough leaves or cardboard.

That fancy attic fan I installed 2 years ago is still collecting dust

Oh man, I did the same thing with a pricey whole-house fan back in 2021... thought I'd be a hero with my energy bills but my house is shaded enough that it's basically a fancy ceiling ornament now. It's just sitting up there humming along for no reason, collecting dust bunnies...

Tried bulk beans from Aldi vs the fancy brand and actually saved $4 a week

Yeah @grace_fox3 that's about what I paid too. I'm with you on the price, it's hard to beat 70 cents. I will say though, I once tried the store brand canned tomatoes for sauce and it was like eating watery cardboard. My wife still won't let me live that down. So maybe stick with the beans and don't get too crazy with the swap game. But for chili specifically, those Aldi beans are a solid win. I've been buying them for months now and nobody at my house has noticed the difference.

A buddy in IT told me the moon landing was staged with early CGI

Exactly, and that tech definitely didn't just disappear after the space race.
