Used to hose my slider down every week, the dots did nothing until I spaced them right
For about two years I scrubbed bird poop off my patio slider in Columbus with a hose and thought that was just part of having windows. A neighbor on our street said the trick is dot spacing, not how much stuff you stick on the glass, so I cut 1/4 inch white dots from shelf liner and put them 2 inches apart across the middle. Three months in, zero strikes on that door, and the finches just land on the rail now instead of hitting it. I had the dots too far apart at first and got two hits in a week, so spacing actually matters. How many inches apart do you all run yours on a big window?
