Had to pick between a gas forge and a coal forge last year...
I was building my first shop and had about $400 left in the budget. Went back and forth for two weeks, watched a ton of videos, asked around at a meeting in Eugene. Ended up going with a gas forge because my neighbor warned me about coal smoke and the HOA. It's been okay but I still wonder if I'm missing out on that coal heat control... anyone else deal with this choice?

Feels like every hobby has that one fork in the road you just gotta pick and live with.

Yeah that fork in the road always sneaks up on you too. One day you're just painting little dudes for fun, next thing you know you're deciding between buying an airbrush setup or a second mortgage worth of Citadel paints. Pick your poison and learn to love it I guess.
