Bought a $45 "pro" donut tutorial series and the free ones on YouTube taught me more in one sitting
I grabbed a paid donut course for $45 back in April because everyone in a Discord I joined kept saying free videos leave gaps, and I wanted to model a coffee cup and plate by the end of it. Turns out 80 percent of the paid course was the guy talking about his "workflow mindset" and the actual modeling part was the same steps I later found in a 20 minute free video. Did anyone here actually learn faster from a paid beginner course, or did you all just bounce around free stuff like I should have from the start?
Reminds me of when I paid for a guitar lesson app and the free YouTube guy taught me more in 10 minutes. The paid stuff just makes you feel like you're doing something serious, but half the time it's just a dude rambling.
