My donut attempt turned into a weird jellyfish and I love it

Honestly, I followed the classic Blender Guru donut tutorial for about 2 hours last night, but when I tried to add the icing it just sort of blobbed over the whole torus. Tbh, I panicked and hit random buttons, ended up with this squishy thing that looks like a jellyfish with sprinkles. Ngl, I was annoyed for a sec, but then I realized it taught me more about proportional editing than the actual donut did. I learned that messing up the scale on the icing object is what caused the melt, so I redid it with matching sizes and got a proper donut today. Has anyone else had a happy accident like that where your mistake showed you a new tool by accident?

Did you ever watch the tutorial and think messing up was just wasted time? I used to delete my project and start over every time I made a mistake. But your jellyfish thing is exactly how I learned the knife tool last week, I was trying to cut a window and ended up slicing the whole wall into pieces, now I actually know what it does. That ugly result taught me more than ten perfect donuts would.
