My uncle's "just eyeball the loop cut" advice cost me 4 hours
He swore you don't need to count segments when making a loop cut around a cylinder, just eyeball it and move on. I tried it on a coffee mug handle and the whole mesh twisted like a pretzel, took me 4 hours and a bunch of youtube videos to fix. Has anyone else gotten confidently wrong advice from a relative who hasn't opened Blender since 2.7?
