Me and 5 friends played Twilight Imperium for 11 hours last Saturday in my basement in Akron
My buddy Dave got the game for his birthday back in 2019 and it sat on his shelf for 4 years because nobody wanted to commit to it. Last Saturday we finally cleared a full day, started at noon, and didn't pack up until almost midnight. Nobody quit, nobody got mad, and Dave actually won by taking Mecatol Rex in round 6 while the rest of us were fighting over some dumb asteroid belt. I remember when game night used to mean 45 minutes of Catan and everyone home by 9. Now our group texts are all about which faction to pick two weeks ahead of time. Does anyone else have a group that went from party games to full day epics, or are we just getting old?
