Serious question, trying a solo game as 3 players fixed my analysis problem
I have been stuck on Spirit Island for about 4 months. Playing true solo meant I spent 20 minutes each turn just staring at the board, then picking the safe move every time. A guy at my Thursday group in Boise showed me this: deal yourself 3 spirits, but run them as one team with a shared fear pool. Sounds dumb. But it forced me to stop overthinking and just commit to lines of play. Third game in I beat Prussia level 4, which I had never done before. Does anyone else use house rules like this to break a bad habit, or am I just making the game easier for myself?
