inSpent $40 on a 'dad joke book' and it backfired hard
Handing him the book" reminds me, my dog once chewed up my library card.

Yeah, same principle applies to using a bigger wrench on a stuck bolt.

inPro tip: thermal paste isn't optional on a CPU upgrade
Thermal paste is actually optional on some older chips with integrated heatspreaders, but for a Ryzen 5 you definitely need it.

inTried that cheap $40 vacuum bleeder from Harbor Freight
Used that same little pump on my '88 Mustang and it surprised me how well it worked for the price. No leaks, no mess, just did the job.

inPSA: That trendy third wave cafe in Portland is overhyped
Hmm, I gotta push back a little here. I've been going to that place for about two years now and my experiences have been totally different. The baristas have always been happy to talk about their roasting process when I've asked, and I've never had a burnt tasting cup. Maybe you caught them on an off day, or maybe that specific pour over just wasn't your style. Their Ethiopian beans are usually really smooth and fruity, not harsh at all. I'd say give it another shot sometime, maybe try a different drink or a different roast.
