Rant: my foreman bet me $50 I couldn't pass my 6G pipe test on the first try
Passed it last Thursday at the shop in Gary, Indiana. He paid up but made me buy the crew lunch with it (12 guys, so there went the whole $50 plus some of my own). Six months ago I couldn't even strike an arc straight, and I failed my first two bend tests bad enough that the inspector just shook his head at me. Anyone else here get their 6G on a first attempt, or did it take you a few tries like everyone keeps telling me is normal?

Buddy of mine passed his on the first go and still swears the 2G was harder, said the overhead stuff just clicked for him. Takes most guys a couple tries though so don't let it get in your head.
