Our club kept calling it the "unreliable narrator" and I finally snapped at the meeting in Tulsa
Last week in Tulsa our club spent 40 minutes calling a guy a liar when he wasn't lying at all, he just didn't know what was going on. I pulled up the actual difference: unreliable means the narrator tells it wrong, and a narrator who's missing facts is just limited, and that's a whole other thing. Three people told me it didn't matter and one guy said "same thing, moving on." It matters because the whole ending of our pick only works if you read him as limited, not shady. I printed the page numbers and passed them around and got a lot of eye rolling, which I probably deserved. How do you all settle word fights like this without looking like the annoying one?
