Customer watched me trim edges and told me I was doing it wrong

Had a guy at the Portland craft fair last Saturday lean over my table and say I was wasting time with my bone folder, that real binders use a Teflon folder. He'd never bound a single book in his life, just watched some YouTube video the night before. I asked him how many spines he'd glued and he just walked off. Anyone else get unsolicited advice from people who've never touched a press?

My buddy got told his letterpress was broken by a guy who'd never even seen one ink up.
