Found my old stitching frame from 2008, the wood is warped beyond use now.

Back then I just used whatever scrap pine was in the garage, didn't think about humidity. Now I see everyone using maple or oak and sealing them properly. What wood do you all use for frames you want to last?

That's such a shame about the warping.

Yeah it's a total bummer, @anna165. Warping just ruins the whole piece for me. Such a waste of good material.

Honestly it drives me crazy. I bought a really nice cutting board last year and it warped after a few months. Now it rocks on the counter. Feels like you can't trust anything to stay flat anymore. They should really fix that.
