The bookbinder at the Richmond fair showed me his sewing frame and I went home and rebuilt mine
I was at a small craft fair in Richmond back in March and this older guy had a booth with hand bound journals, and he let me flip through his sewing frame setup while he talked. He had his cords tensioned with turnbuckles instead of the wooden pegs I use, and the whole thing cost him about $40 at a hardware store. Anyone else here switch up their sewing frame after seeing someone else's setup, or am I the only one who gets jealous at craft fairs?
Totally get that feeling, watching someone work with better tools than yours stings a little. Seeing that turnbuckle trick would've had me tearing my whole frame apart that same night.
