TIL everyone online says to press your signatures flat, and my press at home is the only reason my corners are sharp
Every tutorial I see says to just lay a finished book under a heavy board overnight and call it done. After 40 books I can tell you a board with some books on it at 3 pounds of pressure does almost nothing to a folded signature stack, you need a real press or a couple of clamps on a scrap board for at least an hour. My last batch in Portland was night and day compared to the ones I did the lazy way. What are you all using to press that doesn't cost a fortune?
