Visiting that Parisian book museum split my craft group on hands-on learning.

Some folks swear by touching old books to learn, but others say photos are fine, so what's your take?

Get where you're coming from, some things you just need to hold to feel.

That whole "split my craft group" thing sounds way too dramatic. Like, we're talking about looking at old books here, not performing heart surgery. If someone wants to smell the moldy paper or feel the binding, cool. But acting like a JPEG of the same page is some huge loss? Most people just need to see the pictures and text to get the idea. This feels like a problem for maybe twelve experts total.

Everything gets lost in a jpeg, @daniel_king86.
