My sad ficus came back to life after I quit fussing over it
Six weeks ago my ficus benjamina in the corner of my living room had dropped almost all its leaves and I was ready to toss it. I had been moving it around chasing light and watering it on a fixed schedule twice a week. Then a guy at the plant swap in Portland told me to just park it by the east window and only water when the top inch of soil felt dry. I did that for about a month and counted 14 new leaves last Sunday. Turns out I was loving it to death, anyone else kill a plant with too much attention?
