Guy at the supply yard in Camden laughed at me for wetting my brick, who's right here?
Last Tuesday I was loading up 500 face bricks at the yard in Camden and hosing them down before stacking, and this older guy leaning on his truck goes "you watering them or growing them?" I told him dry brick sucks the water right out of the mortar before it can set, and he said his crew has laid dry for 30 years with no callbacks. We went back and forth for 10 minutes and he ended it with "come find me when one of yours falls out." So now I'm second guessing myself, do you soak or lay dry and what's your reason?
