Coworker told me my thrifted suits look like costume party outfits

My office buddy Jessica straight up said my $15 goodwill blazers make me look like I'm playing dress up for a 90s board meeting. She pointed out the shoulders are too wide and the jackets are way too long, making me look boxy. Now I measure the shoulder seam against my own and only grab jackets that hit at my hip bone, not my butt. Has anyone else gotten brutal but helpful fashion advice from a friend?

My buddy Chris got roasted for wearing a vest with his suit to a wedding. The groom's dad pulled him aside and said he looked like a magic act from a 1990s cruise ship. Chris ditched the vest and never looked back, best fashion advice he ever got.

@oliver_ward14 the real tragedy is nobody told Chris he looked like a waiter not a magician.
