Showerthought: I stopped buying fancy coffee syrups and started hitting the restaurant supply store instead
I used to drop $9 on a tiny bottle of vanilla syrup at the grocery store every couple weeks, which added up to like $150 a year just to make my own iced lattes at home. Six months ago a barista in Portland let slip that the supply spot on the east side sells a whole liter of the same kind for $6. I brought my own mason jar and now I'm set for months. The funniest part is the bottle looks more legit in my fridge than the pricey one did. Does anyone else hit restaurant supply stores for stuff like this, or am I late to the party?
