Picked dried beans over canned for a month, saved $22 but lost my Sundays
Back in 2019 I was living in a studio in Kansas City and canned beans were eating up like $1.29 a can, so I switched to the $1.79 bags of dried pintos. The money was real, about $22 over four weeks, but soaking them overnight and simmering for 2 hours every Sunday got old fast. Anyone got a way to make dried beans less of a whole afternoon thing, or should I just eat the cost on cans?
