Found a $3 app that saved me $40 on a hotel booking last weekend in Austin

I was about to book a room through a big site for $85 a night, but a friend mentioned this price comparison tool I'd never heard of that showed the same room for $45 on a smaller booking platform. Took me maybe 10 minutes to set up and the transaction went smooth with zero hidden fees. Anyone else find a random app or site that actually beat the usual booking rates?

Oh man, I gotta say it's been pretty consistent for me actually. I use this one site called CamelCamelCamel, not sure if you've heard of it, it tracks prices on Amazon over time. It's not totally perfect but I did notice it caught a deal on a wireless router I was watching - the price dropped like 30 bucks one night and I snagged it. I think it really depends on the item though, like big electronics seem to fluctuate more than random household stuff. Just my experience but it's worth checking if you're patient.
