I paid $9 for airport water bottles 4 separate times before my sister pointed at the fountain
Last year I flew out of Chicago O'Hare 4 times and each time I bought a $9 bottle of water past security without even thinking about it. My sister watched me do it on our flight to Denver and just said 'you know there's a water fountain right there, right?' I stood there holding my overpriced bottle feeling like a total fool. Turns out I'd been doing this on every single trip for like 3 years, which adds up to roughly $150 wasted on water I could have gotten for free. Now I bring an empty bottle through security and fill it up at the fountain like a normal person. Has anyone else had a moment where a family member casually destroyed your whole travel routine with one sentence?
