Just realized I've been overpaying for flights by booking on the wrong day
I always thought Tuesday was the cheapest day to book flights, but I tried checking on a Wednesday at 2 AM last month and found a round trip to Denver for $89. The secret is to search in the middle of the night when airlines update their leftover seats. I saved $76 on that one booking alone. Has anyone else found a weird time that works better for cheap fares?

Felt that pain too man. I used to always book on Sunday nights thinking it was the magic window, then I got a flight to Orlando for $67 by checking around 3 AM on a Thursday. It felt like I was cheating the system or something. Now I just set an alarm for random late nights and refresh a few times, feels stupid but it works every time.

July 4th weekend last year I snagged a flight to Chicago for $44 by checking at 4 AM on a Wednesday, and it was some fare glitch that was gone by 8 AM. Airlines push those deep discounts when they're trying to fill last minute seats and most people are asleep. Your mileage may vary but setting an alarm for 3-4 AM a few times a week has saved me over $200 in the past six months.
