That cashier at the grocery store who remembered my budget list
There's this older lady at the Kroger on Main Street who works the self checkout aisle. About 3 months ago I was there with my little notebook, trying to stay under $85 for the week. She saw me crossing stuff off and just said "You know, the store brand rice is 40 cents cheaper and tastes the same." Now every time I go through her line she gives me little tips like that. Last week she told me about the day old bread rack that I never noticed. Saved me like $15 just this month. Has anyone else had a random employee or stranger give them a totally unexpected money saving tip like that?

Yo wait, that's awesome! Is her name Linda by chance? I had this old guy at my local Aldi who used to do the same thing, told me about the clearance section they keep in the back by the dairy coolers. I was broke as a joke last year and he'd literally walk me over to stuff I didn't even know existed, like the dented can aisle where soup is like 50 cents. Saved my butt more times than I can count, honestly makes you feel like there's still good people out there just looking out for you.

That old lady at Aldi sounds like a real one. Had a cashier at my local grocery store who'd always point out the manager's special stickers on meat that was about to expire, got some crazy cheap steaks that way.
