Found out I was copying my dailies into my monthly log for 8 months

Sat down last Saturday with my January through August spreads and finally counted it. I had been rewriting every single task from my weeklies into my monthly log, which meant around 90 lines of duplicate info across 8 months, and none of it ever got checked off twice. What tipped me off was flipping back to March and seeing the same three tasks copied in four different places, all still open. The whole point of a monthly log is to see the big picture, not to become a second to do list. So I did a test run for September where the monthly log only holds deadlines and events, and the dailies handle tasks. Two weeks in and I actually look at the spread now. Curious how people split the job between monthlies and dailies, because I clearly had no clue for most of this year.
