I'm stuck choosing between bamboo paper and recycled for my new bujo.

Bamboo paper grows fast and is renewable, but it often ships from far away. Recycled paper uses old materials but might involve chemicals in processing. I can't figure out which has a smaller footprint. How do you judge this stuff?

My buddy Mike got hung up on this same thing last year. He finally just picked one and said the shipping vs. chemicals math makes your head spin anyway.

Yeah I saw a whole thread about this... someone was saying if you ship from far away, the fuel for the trucks or planes adds up. But then making stuff local might use more harsh cleaners or something. Mike's right though, you could drive yourself crazy trying to add it all up. Sometimes you just grab the one that feels less bad and move on.
