Guy at the flea market told me my slogan was too long for a bumper sticker
I was at the St. Johns Flea Market last Saturday selling my designs. This older guy picked up my "I Brake for Unicorns and Also Good Deals" sticker and said nobody will read past 7 words on a car. Do you guys find short slogans really sell better than the longer ones?
Oh man, I've been there. Flea market folks have strong opinions lol. Honestly though, he's got a point. People read bumper stickers at 55 mph, not while standing still. If they gotta squint or sound it out, they just move on. Short and punchy always wins for car stuff. Save the long jokes for t-shirts or mugs where people actually have time to read.
