Warning: Don't use third-party dryers on Whirlpool front-loaders from 2022

My neighbor had the exact same thing happen with those cheap pods in her 2022 Whirlpool last month. The goo from the pods just baked onto the drum and made this horrible burnt plastic smell. She ended up having to replace the whole rubber seal which cost her over $200.

I finally got into it with my mom over sourdough starter care

Read somewhere that dogs actually can't taste sweet the same way we do, so that banana bread probably just seemed like weird, dry cardboard to him. Your grandma meant well and he was fine, so I'd let her have this one honestly. But I get it, you were thinking about the recipe integrity and not just the dog's health. She probably brings it up because it's a funny memory to her now, so maybe next Thanksgiving just laugh along with her.

Can we talk about learning to clean a chain without taking it off?

A buddy of mine showed me that same Park Tool scrubber at a group ride last spring. I was still doing the old soak and scrub routine. It's crazy how many tasks we overcomplicate because that's just how we learned them. Like I used to wash my car with a bucket and sponge until a neighbor said the two-bucket method is actually faster. We get stuck in a groove. The chain thing is a perfect example. Simple Green cuts grease so well you barely have to touch the chain. Total game changer for maintenance time.

That old electrician who showed me the twist method

Oh man, Frank sounds like a gem! That twisting trick is genius (I can already picture how much neater my own cable mess would be). I had a plumber once tell me to always put a bucket under the shut-off valves before touching them, even if they look dry. I thought he was being dramatic, but then I tried it and saved myself a flood under the sink. It's funny how those little old-school tips just stick with you forever.

Forgot to check the HTTPS certificate on my site for a year

Last time I set up Certbot it took maybe 30 seconds for the cron job and I haven't touched it since. That's the whole trick just don't skip that last step where it asks about auto renewal.
