My sign guy in Dayton told me to write bumper stickers like people talk, not like ads
I showed him a batch of 20 designs last week and he pointed at one that read "Honk If You Love Fresh Bread" and asked if I have ever heard anyone actually say that out loud. It got me thinking about how many of my stickers sound like slogans instead of stuff a real person would yell at a red light. Since then I have been testing lines on my neighbors first, and the weird ones they repeat back to me are the ones that work. Does anyone else run their text by actual humans before printing, or do you just trust your gut?
