Rant: my lease renewal penalty taught me to read every line twice
Got hit with a $450 early exit fee at my Springfield office unit because I missed a clause buried on page 14, everyone told me it was standard boilerplate. I now read every renewal like it's a contract for a $50,000 job, has anyone else found surprise fees in supposedly routine paperwork?

Page 14 got me too last year, hidden pet fee that cost me $300. Now I flip to the last page first.
