Unpopular opinion: the 12 page contract a lawyer in Austin sent me was actually worth the $850
Six months ago I almost signed a handshake deal with a supplier for my small hot sauce business, but my brother pushed me to get a real contract instead. I figured a lawyer would just pad the bill, but the one I found in Austin charged $850 and caught a clause that would have let the supplier change prices with 14 days notice. That one line saved me about $3,000 when they tried to bump my rates in March. Has anyone else had a contract clause pay for itself like that?
