Question about the move away from whole-animal utilization in modern practices
I mean, remembering how my mentor used every bit, from offal to bones, really highlighted a respect for the animal. Idk, maybe it's just me, but seeing so much focus on primals now makes me worry we're forgetting that sustainability starts with reverence.

Honestly, I see it the other way. That old school way had its place, but modern primals can be way more efficient and cause less waste across the whole system. It's not about forgetting respect, it's about feeding more people with less. The real reverence is in not wasting anything at the scale we need now, even if it looks different.

Yeah, "feeding more people with less" really gets to the heart of it. I get why the old ways feel important, but that scale changes everything. It's a different kind of respect, making sure nothing gets thrown out.
