Wrote off that $8 brisket scraper from the flea market in Elgin, then it beat my $45 one
I picked up a little hand scraper at the flea market in Elgin about 4 months ago for 8 bucks, mostly just to be nice to the old guy selling it. Figured it was junk and threw it in the drawer. Last week my good scraper went dull mid shift on a big brisket order and I grabbed the cheap one out of habit. Cleaned the whole flat in half the time and the edge stayed true. I've run it over 50 lbs of meat since and it still holds up better than the one I paid 45 for. Now I'm second guessing every tool I've bought new. What's the best cheap find you all have come across that actually held up?
