Hit 500 dovetails this week, never expected that number
Tbh I started counting my hand cut dovetails back in March just to see how many I could get through in a year. Yesterday I finished up a walnut chest of drawers and realized I was at 500 exactly. That felt massive for me because 18 months ago I was still using a router jig and scared to ruin a board. The funny part is my first ten dovetails took me a whole weekend and looked like garbage, now I can knock out a row in about 40 minutes. Any of you guys track a specific joint count over time, or am I just weirdly into stats?
