Question about face frame glue ups after a bad morning
Spent 4 hours this morning on a face frame for a kitchen job in Portland. Used Titebond II with brad nails, but the joints kept creeping open on the oak before the clamps went on. Switched to a slower setting glue and pre-drilled the nail holes on the second attempt, and it went together flat in half the time. Any of you use a specific glue or method for oak face frames that avoids this sliding problem?
