Switched to Blum soft-close hinges after 8 years on budget ones

Tbh I always thought soft-close was just a fancy gimmick and not worth the extra $3 per hinge. But last month I did a kitchen job in Maplewood where the homeowner insisted on Blum everything. Honestly the difference is night and day. The closing action is so smooth and quiet compared to the cheap ones I usually buy. No more slamming cabinets or adjusting them every 6 months. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a big difference in wear over time?

Wait, you've been using budget hinges for 8 whole years?
