I stayed at a Marriott in Austin last week for a work thing. Their nightstand had this built in power strip with a little tray for phones and a slot for the cable to hang through. I thought it was just fancy furniture at first, but by the second night I realized I wasn't dealing with that spaghetti pile on the floor by the bed. I came home and spent about $35 on a small cable box and a short extension cord for my own nightstand. Now the plugs sit off the floor and the extra length is coiled inside the box instead of draped behind the dresser. Has anyone else stolen a good idea from a hotel room setup?
